EPPO Reporting Service (2012/147) : the first specimen was caught in a Malaise trap near Buenos Aires (at Moreno) in April 2005. This insect was initially identified as T. australicus (Noack et Coviella, 2006) but later described as a new species T. peregrinus (Carpintero & Dellapé, 2006).
