Comments
EPPO Reporting Service (2011/037) : several adult flies were detected in 2010 near Berlin on ornamental sunflowers in private gardens. It is suspected that this insect has been present in Berlin since 2008. The NPPO conducted a preliminary PRA which concluded that this pest could present a medium risk for Germany. The NPPO also suggested that S. longipennis should be added to the EPPO Alert List.

EPPO Reporting Service (2012/053) : found during a specific survey carried out in 2011 in several locations in the urban area of Berlin and in 27 sunflower fields in Brandenburg.
