A single colony was found in September 2017 in Busan Metropolitan city in a gap of pavement in the container yard (in the customs area). Eradication measures were immediately applied. Surveys have been carried out in ports and in-land container yards and did not detect the pest. In October 2017, the pest was declared eradicated.
