First found in August 2009 in the state of Rio de Janeiro (Barra do Pirai, Japeri, Mesquita, Miguel Pereira, Nova Iguaçu, Queimados, Rio de Janeiro city, Sao Joao do Meriti and Seropédica). It was then also found in the cities of Sao Paulo and Belo Horizonte (Minais Gerais) and in other Brazilian states.
