Comments
In the 2000s, high incidence of rice plants with yellowing and mottling symptoms was reported at Cyabayaga (north) and at Cyili (southeast). At Cyabayaga, total crop failure was observed. In 2009, symptomatic rice plants were collected from three major rice-producing regions of Rwanda (Bugarama, Cyili, Cyabyaga) and the presence of RYMV was confirmed.
