Comments
According to Yoon et al. (2012), RSV is considered as a serious threat to rice production in Korea. An outbreak was observed in 1956, and again in 1980 in Gyeonggi and Chungcheong. In 2001, it was estimated that RSV was infecting 4 660 ha of rice in the provinces of Gyeonggi and Gangwha, and 5 000 ha in the provinces of Buan and Seocheon.
