First found in 1986, it remained confiined South of the Alps for some time but is now widespread in Swiitzerland.
1986-1990: light trapping reports from the Ticino area (Tessin valley) of 9 males and 1 female.

EPPO Reporting Service (525/15) of 1992-07: now considered established in southern Switzerland.
EPPO Reporting Service (1994/110) : widely distributed in canton of Ticino, in regions of Locarno, Lugano and Chiasso. Established; eradication not feasible.
