Comments
First observed in July 2015 in a urban park in Mississauga (Ontario) by an amateur entomologist (who took a picture). In May 2016, the presence of the pest (associated with Lonicera sp.) was confirmed by CFIA. Under official control.
Detected in July 2022, in association with wild honeysuckle (Lonicera spp.) shrubs and an ornamental Prunus sp. tree in two urban parks in Montreal, Quebec. Not detected in association with commercial cherry or haskap (Lonicera caerulea) production in Canada. Under official control.
