Black et al. (1999): R. pseudosolanacearum (biovar 3) found on tomato in all areas surveyed on potato in mid-elevation areas. R. pseudosolanacearum found on tomato and eggplant in Zanzibar for the first time in 1998.
Aloyce et al. (2020): Predominant cause of tomato bacterial wilt in the main agroecological regions is R. pseudosolanacearum (biovar 3). However R. solanacearum [phylotype II] (biovar 2) is also found on tomato in the southern zone of Tanzania.
