Comments
EPPO Reporting Service (2009/133) : occurs in Honshu (Ogawara et al., 2008; Ogiso et al., 2001).

However, according to Shimizu et al. (2008), the disease has invaded Japan but has been eradicated. In the absence of additional information, the situation of this disease is Japan remains to be confirmed.

EPPO Reporting Service (2023/079) : detected on a few occasions from 1998 to 2012 on Citrullus lanatus and Cucumis melo in several production sites, but eradication measures have always been taken. Annual official surveys have confirmed that the bacterium has been absent from Japan since 2013.
