The record in the EPPO data sheet goes back to the earlier concept of peach mosaic. INRA scientists in France consider that this American disease is caused by peach latent mosaic viroid, but this concept is not yet firmly accepted in America.

EPPO Reporting Service (2016/050) : detected in samples collected from peach trees in the states of Puebla, Morelos and México during surveys conducted in 2013/2014. This is the first confirmed record of PLMVd in Mexico.
