EPPO Reporting Service (1999/063) : present on Pinus koraiensis and P. funebris in Primorye according to a checklist (Egorov, 1996).
During their study, Lu et al. (2007) re-examined a specimen from Primorye collected from Pinus koraiensis (determined by Egorov as P. nemorensis) and idendified it as P. nitidus (another species known to occur in the Russian Far East). Therefore, the record of P. nemorensis in the Russian Far East is considered doubtful.
