Comments
From VDACS (2022): in 2018, the pathogen was detected in Pieris plants at one nursery. 13 plants were destroyed and further testing at the production site did not detect the pathogen. During annual surveys conducted in Virginia in 2019, 2020 and 2021 no positive detections were made and P. ramorum is considered as eradicated from Virginia.
