Comments
From Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture (2022-04): annual specific surveys are conducted and have shown that the pathogen is not naturally present in Pennsylvania. The pathogen is occasionally detected in nurseries in association with shipments of infected material, and is always subject to eradication measures.
The last detection in a nursery was made in 2019, all infected material was destroyed and subsequent surveys confirmed the absence of P. ramorum from the nursery. In 2021, two positive cases were found in a single retail location, eradication measures were taken and further monitoring confirmed the absence of P. ramorum.
