Comments
From Maryland Department of Agriculture (2022-03): annual specific surveys are conducted in forests, streams and nurseries and have shown that the pathogen is not naturally present in Maryland. The pathogen is occasionally detected in nurseries but always subject to eradication measures. In 2019, Rhododendron plants from one nursery tested positive and all infected plants were destroyed. Surveys conducted in 2019, 2020 and 2021 did not detect any further cases. The Maryland Department of Agriculture considers that P. ramorum is 'Absent, eradicated'.
