EPPO Reporting Service (2002/078) : found in a survey in late 2001 at 15 locations in different Länder, on Viburnum and Rhododendron. Under eradication.
EPPO Reporting Service (2003/038) : found in 2002 at 38 locations out of 672 surveyed. Only in Rhododendron and Viburnum.
EPPO Reporting Service (2004/139) : first found on Pieris japonica.
EPPO Reporting Service (2015/032) : found on 14 rhododendron plants (Rhododendron catawbiense ‘Grandiflorum’) in a private garden at Pöcking, Bayern. Plants were destroyed.
EPPO Reporting Service (2016/196) : found in Baden Württemberg (containment measures) and Niederschsen (eradication measures).
From NPPO (2017): found in 1 Rhodendron plant in a cemetery in Neumünster (Schleswig-Holstein), in 1 Rhododendron plant in a private garden and in 1 Rhodendron pot plant in a nursery (both in Nordrhein-Westfalen). Eradication meausres were taken.
From NPPO (2018): 3 isolated findings were made in Sachsen, all infected plants were destroyed.
From NPPO (2019): an outbreak in Sachsen (Dresden) was eradicated.
