Comments
Since the mid 2000s extensive mortality of common alder (Alnus glutinosa) has been observed along many rivers of northern Spain. In September 2009, samples from 5 symptomatic A. glutinosa were collected along the river Mino (Galicia) and revealed the presence of P. alni (Solla et al., 2009). Pintos Varela et al. (2010) detected the pathogen in River Avia (Galicia). Also in Castilla y Leon (Haque et al., 2015).
