EPPO Reporting Service (2007/071) : it was detected for the first time from damaged alder trees in western Bohemia near the town of Karlovy Vary (samples had been collected in 2001 bu the identify of the pathogen could only be confirmed later). The pathogen has rapidly spread, particularly in the western part of the Czech Republic.
