Big-bud symptoms have been observed on field tomatoes in central and north-eastern Syria since 2013. Phytoplasmas belonging to subgroup 16Sr VI-A were detected. Authors concluded that ‘Candidatus Phytoplasma trifolii’ is the most probable pathogen species.
