Comments
EPPO Reporting Service (2008/082) : in 2006 and 2007, isolated grapevines were found infected by bois noir (Stolbur phytoplasma) in British Columbia and Ontario, respectively. All infected plants had been imported from Europe. The vector, Hyalesthes obsoletus, does not occur in North America. All infected grapevines were destroyed and Bois noir was no longer detected. Bois noir was officially declared eradicated in 2008.
