From country itself (1992): first reported from British Columbia in 1948. However, there is no recent data to confirm that it still occurs in British Columbia.

EPPO Reporting Service (2011/006) : in 2007, 'Candidatus Phytoplasma pyri' was detected for the first time in Southern Ontario and was considered as the first confirmed record of this phytoplasma in Canada.
