EPPO Global Database

Maconellicoccus hirsutus(PHENHI)

Distribution details in Zambia

Situation
Current pest situation evaluated by EPPO on the basis of information dated 2013: Absent, invalid record
Comments
The record appearing in the EPPO datasheet (2005) is erroneous. It was based on a publication from Williams (1996) which was itself based on an interception of the pest in Chicago (USA). The NPPO of Zambia officially confirms the absence of the pest on its territory.
