Chionaspis pinifoliae(PHECPI)

Distribution details in Austria

Situation
Current pest situation evaluated by EPPO on the basis of information dated 2022: Absent, unreliable record
Comments
EPPO (2022): a finding of C. pinifoliae in 2014 in the Botanical Garden of the University of Vienna is mentioned in the MSc thesis of Becker (2017). However, the pest was identified based solely on photographic evidence, thus generating a reasonable doubt regarding the correctness of the determination. Officially, the pest is not present in Austria.
