Situation

From CABI Pest map 594 (1999): Absent, pest eradicated
Comments
RS 487 of 1987-08-20: last outbreak 1982, last interception 1986; eradicated.

From country itself (1992): first found in 1960s, all introductions eradicated.

EPPO Reporting Service (2018/056) : found in a public glasshouse in the South East of England on Musa acuminata and Costus spiralis. Under eradication.

From NPPO (2019): the outbreak of O. sacchari within the glasshouse (see above) has spread and it is no longer deemed feasible to eradicate this outbreak, it is now under containment. Chemical and biological treatments, as well as monitoring surveys are ongoing.
