A record of O. coffeae in Colombia was published in the CABI map no. 165 of 1963 based on a declaration by Dr E.W. Baker that a specimen found at Fredonia was deposited at the US National Museum. This specimen could not be retrieved, and according to entomologists and survey results, O. coffeae has never been recorded in Colombia. Therefore, this old record is now considered to be invalid.
