The presence of Metcalfa pruinosa in Hungary was officially confirmed in Budapest in August 2004. It was found on Acer, Aesculus hippocastanum, Berberis, Crataegus, Hibiscus, Syringa, and Ulmus. In 2004, no economic damage was reported.
