EPPO Reporting Service (2018/031) : first found in October 2017 in soil samples collected from 3 potato fields in the municipality of Sölvesborg (Blekinge province). Under official control.

From NPPO (2019-02): Surveys in 2018 in the outbreak in Sölvesborg (Blekinge province) showed that the nematode is still present at very low levels. Further phytosanitary measures will be applied in 2019.
Surveys in 2018 in the outbreak in Kristianstad (Skåne province) showed that M. chitwoodi was present in 3 other fields at the same operator site. M. fallax was also found in one field.
