Reporting Service 502/04 (1990): outbreaks linked to imported consignments (on imported peas in 1980 and chrysanthemums in 1981). Under eradication.
Reporting Service 510/13 (1991): interception of contaminated consignments of cut flowers from Malta.
Reporting Service 520/14 of 1992-02: 29 consignments intercepted in 1990, from NL, US, IT, BE, ES (Islas Canárias), MT.
EPPO Reporting Service (93/078): 170 outbreaks between 1989-10 and 1992-12. After first outbreaks on imported ornamentals, spread to many glasshouse vegetable crops (lettuce, celery and cucumber). Numerous outbreaks in late 1992.
1998: eradicated in Northern Ireland and Scotland.
According to report to EPPO Conference in Pruhonice (1998), sporadic outbreaks continue. Policy of eradication maintained on plants for planting, but only of containment on others.
