The different subspecies of L. fiscellaria vary in their distribution. Lambdina fiscellaria fiscellaria is found in Eastern North America. In the USA, the distribution is described as south to Georgia, and west to Wisconsin. Lambdina fiscellaria lugubrosa is found from Oregon north through to British Columbia and southeast Alaska. Lambdina fiscellaria somniaria is found in Oregon, Washington and south coastal British Columbia.
