According to the Slovak NPPO (1998), G. pallida was declared present in Slovakia in reports for 1995 and 1996. In later research, the Slovak material was compared with authentic G. pallida from an external source, and shown to be G. rostochiensis, not G. pallida. This will be further confirmed by use of monoclonal antibodies. The earlier records of G. pallida in Slovakia must thus be considered mistaken.
This information is confirmed in EPPO Reporting Service (1999/021)
EPPO Reporting Service (2001/192) : confirmed as absent in surveys continuing up till 2001.
In 2011, the NPPO again confirmed that surveys have shown the absence of G. pallida.
Detected in 1 locality in Central Slovakia (Douda et al., 2014).
NPPO (2025): based on by official surveys conducted in 2024, the pest status is officially declared as "Present: only in some areas".
