EPPO Reporting Service (2015/126) : first found in July 2015. 1 male was caught in a pheromone trap in a field in Bradenton (Manatee county), Florida.
Later, APHIS confirmed the detection of 3 adult males: 2 from the same trap at a tomato farm and 1 from a separate trap on a vacant lot near a park in Bradenton. But after one complete year of continuous and intensive surveys, no other specimens were found. The pest is considered as no longer present.
