From CABI Pest map 736 (2022): Present, restricted distribution
EPPO Reporting Service (2019/031) : first observed in Istanbul in September 2017 (identity was not confirmed). The presence of the pest was confirmed in October 2017 in Kemalpaşa district (Artvin province) near the border with Georgia. Establishment needs to be verified.
According to Cianferoni et al. (2019), 2 more adult specimens were photographed in Istanbul (Kadıköy, Üsküdar) in autumn 2018.
According to Ak et al. (2019), also found in other areas of the Black Sea region between Kemalpaşa (Artvin) and Hayrat (Trabzon) on many cultivated plants (especially hazelnut, kiwi, corn, orange, blueberry, beans and tomato).
According to Göktürk (2023): present in Eastern Black See region (Giresun, Ordu, Rize, Trabzon and Samsun provinces) and in Marmara region (İstanbul, Yalova and Kocaeli provinces).
