Current pest situation evaluated by EPPO on the basis of information dated 2024: Present, restricted distribution

Comments
From Powell et al. (2021): sentinel pheromone traps deployed in England and Wales caught no H. halys during 2018 and 2019, but two adult males (in Essex and London) were caught during August 2020. Not yet considered established, but it might soon become established in parts of England, in particular the London area (with the urban heat island effect).

EPPO Reporting Service (2024/183) : a first breeding population has been found in Southeastern England.
