Citrus black spot was recorded as present on the basis of one isolate (ICMP8336 - from a Seminole tangerine fruit grown in the northern region ) identified by morphological features as Guignardia citricarpa. This isolate was later reclassified as Guignardia mangiferae on the basis of molecular studies (Everett & Rees-George, 2006).
Absence of the pathogen was confirmed by the NPPO in 2019-05.
