From CABI Pest map 723 (2013): Present, few occurrences
First found in February 2013 at Bourbourkabé (near Niamey). Later found in the regions of Agadez, Niamey and Tillabéri causing significant damage.

From Garba et al. (2020): widespread (affecting all regions except Diffa).
