Comments
In June 2003, a large infestation was found on a mature potted bamboo plant (Arundinaria sp.) imported from Thailand. The plant was located inside a restaurant in South Yorkshire. The pest has also been intercepted several times on Areca palms imported from Thailand and on Calamus plant. imported from Singapore. The pest cannot establish outdoors in the UK climatic conditions.
