Comments
EPPO Reporting Service (1993/69) : absence from Northern Ireland confirmed. Outbreaks only in 1986 on ornamentals such as Cotoneaster and Pyracantha; after eradication, no further outbreaks.

From NPPO (2009): surveys carried out in 2008 in Northern Ireland concluded that 21 outbreak sites were eradicated from the 25 outbreak sites ongoing from 2007 plus 2 new sites found in 2008, leaving 6 remaining sites with fireblight outbreaks.

From NPPO (2010): surveys carried out in 2009 in Northern Ireland concluded that 15 new outbreak sites were detected. 10 were eradicated, 8 are ongoing (including 3 which were greater than 2 years old).
