First detected in July 2010 and currently known to occur in Arizona, Florida, Louisiana, Mississippi, Texas, and portions of California and Alabama (NAPPO, 2021).

EPPO Reporting Service (2011/224) : first found in citrus in private gardens in Texas. Then, also detected in Louisiana, Mississippi, Florida, and Arizona, mainly on urban citrus trees. Under official control.

EPPO Reporting Service (2014/116) : also in California.

EPPO Reporting Service (2022/096) : first detected in Alabama. Under official control.
