Jánošíková‐Hečková et al. (2018): during a study conducted from 2014 to 2017 in 84 localities, D. pini was detected alone in 2 locations and in 29 locations together with D. septosporum. These locations were distributed across the whole country. D. pini was found on Pinus nigra, P. sylvestris, P. mugo, P. ponderosa, P. aristata, P. jeffreyi, P. coulteri, P. densiflora, P. flexilis, P. x schwerinii, and Picea abies.
