Arnett (1993) gives it as throughout his northeast, southeast, southwest and northwest zones of North America, i.e. throughout, except the north central zone.

Dodds et al. (2018): extension to North-East US as primary pest.

EPPO Reporting Service (2023/221) : first recorded in 2021 in the north of New York state, and caught in traps in New Hampshire and Maine.
