According to CABI map 109 (1994), true B. dorsalis does occur in Thailand, but probably only in the North.

Records from southern Thailand probably refer to 2 other species, B. carambolae and B. papayae. Another species, B. pyrifoliae, occurs in northern Thailand, with B. dorsalis.
