Comments
From country itself (1992): production programme for virus-free certified plants since 1984.

RS no. 4/02 of 1990: found on Meyer lemon in 1960s; eradication of Meyer lemon obligatory. A few infected trees may remain.

EPPO Reporting Service (1993/47) : about 100 trees found infected in two citrus germplasm blocks at Souihal and El-Menzeh.

Promed posting: CTV was detected in 2009 in Larache (region of Tangier-Tetouan), eradication measures have immediatley been put in place.

From Afechtal et al. (2015): surveys were conducted in Souss, Gharb, Moulouya, Tadla, Haouz and Loukkos (5,192 plants from commercial groves, nurseries and varietal collections were tested). On average, 25% of the tested trees were CTV-infected. Highest incidence (60%) in Loukkos region, few infected trees in Souss and Gharb regions and no CTV infection in other studied sites.
