EPPO Reporting Service 514/05: appears mainly in the Caspian Sea area.

EPPO Reporting Service (1998/139) : limited spread is occurring in this area (central Mazandaran).

EPPO Reporting Service (2006/214) : first detected in southern Iran in 1996. Surveys show that isolates in north and south are similar, and related to severe strains from US (California) or Japan
