------- Reports the extension of E. harknessii infection of Pinus sylvestris in 1975 into two new areas of Virginia where a localized outbreak had been observed in 1971. These outbreaks represent a 'bridge' capable of carrying infection towards the susceptible P. taeda and P. virginiana of the southern USA.
