Comments
The EPPO data sheet published in 1982 refers to an unsubstantiated record. This was apparently the only source for later records elsewhere. It has not been traced back any further and is presumed to be erroneous.

EPPO Reporting Service (2012/138) : first found in 2011 in 1 site near Dornburg (Thüringen) in 1 soybean cultivar (Glycine max cv. 'Capnor'), all diseased plants have been destroyed.

From NPPO (2018): following the publication by Sammer & Eiher (2012), investigations were made by the official authorities of Thuringia. Confirmation was not possible because the infested plants had been already destroyed and the origin of the infestation could not be traced. Since this finding the pathogen has not been found again in Germany and is now considered as eradicated.
