EPPO Reporting Service (2014/116) : found in a Chamaecyparis lawsoniana tree located in a forest (forêt de la Sare, Pyrénées-Atlantiques department). Other infested sites were then also found in nearby areas (another tree in the same forest, 2 sites in the Urrugne forest)
EPPO Reporting Service (2020/028) : found again on the Ile de Noirmoutier (Pays-de-la-Loire region) in April 2019. Considered present for more than 10 years.

------- Details on specimens found in France. It is noted that the insect had been first noticed as early as 1906 (probably an incursion linked to imports and not followed by establishment). First established populations were found in 2011.
