Comments
In 1993, a fungus isolated from petioles of Fraxinus mandshurica was first assigned to Lambertella albida (a synonym of Hymenoscyphus albidus). However, Zhao et al. (2012) considered that this isolated fungus was in fact H. pseudoalbidus. Although further studies are needed, this paper and other studies may indicate that Asia (and possibly Japan) is its area of origin.
