Comments
A record in Azores is taken from CABI map 91, which cites an article in RPP, dating back to 1927, referring to the introduction of the fungus in 1897 from the West Indies. It is the disease on sweet potato which is concerned, and this crop is still cultivated in the Azores. The Portuguese NPPO raises doubts about the record, but this probably relates to f.sp. platani on plane, which is a quarantine pest for Europe, and not to the sweet potato pathogen.
