Comments
In the UK, Bemisia tabaci is occasionnally found but always submitted to eradication measures.

EPPO Reporting Service 491 (1987-09): first outbreak recorded in 1987-08 on Euphorbia pulcherrima from the Netherlands.

EPPO Reporting Service 500/08 (1989): 1) UK outbreaks eradicated; 2) Guernsey and Jersey: intercepted on imports only and eradicated.

From country itself (1992): outbreaks since 1987-08 have been eradicated. Confirmed in 1993 (EPPO Reporting Service (1994/032)). Remains under eradication. Nine outbreaks in 1998, all at very low levels (EPPO Conference in Pruhonice, 1998).

From country itself (2009): in England, 10 new outbreak sites were found in 2008 (in addition to the 30 sites detected in 2007). Eradication was achieved on 39 of these sites, so 1 site was still infested at the end of 2008.

From country itself (2010): 41 new outbreaks found in 2009 in England and Wales (23 were eradicated and 18 are ongoing) ; 5 in Scotland (all eradicated); 1 in Guernsey (eradicated).
