Comments
EPPO Reporting Service (2013/051) : a single adult was detected on the trunk of a tree in a forest in Emilia-Romagna. A survey has been initiated to determine its origin, potential spread, and survival capacity in the detection area.

From NPPO (2018): no other specimens could be found during surveys carried out on the site where the specimen was found, and its surroundings. Investigations showed that climatic conditions in the area were not suitable for the pest survival, if other specimens had been present. It was concluded that this isolated finding was only an incursion and that the pest has been eradicated.
